Over the past one hundred and fifty years Bo'ness and Carriden Band
have produced some of the finest musical talents in the UK. We in the Junior Band are proud to carry on that tradition.
Our aim is to encourage pupils of all abilities from the age of eight to enjoy all that music has to offer. We also encourage those who wish to resume their interest in music who may not have played for any years.
We supply instruments and musical tution for no fee, and take our pupils to a wide range of concerts again at little or no expense. Many of our pupils continue to pursue a musical education in High School and beyond. We also part fund suitable candidates who wish to attend the Nybbs Sumer School each year.
Funding comes from Junior Band Concerts,normally twice yearly, bag packing events and donations from local businesses and organisations.
Coaching is given by experienced brass players, Robert Burns, Ian Stewart and David McLean. ( See contacts page )
